Donate furniture and supplies:

The staff of South City Prep are working hard to get their rooms ready for the school year.  The school is purchasing basic furniture, materials and supplies.  However, the following is a list of items that would make the educational experience of our students even more rewarding:

• Large area rugs
• Library bookshelves
• Floor lamps
• Beanbag chairs for SCP’s library
• Staff room furniture and supplies (couch/loveseat/chairs, kitchen supplies)
• Boom boxes with CD player for specialist classrooms
• Boom boxes with iPod dock for specialist classrooms
• digital piano (full-sized)
• iTunes gift cards (for music class downloads)
• sports and fitness equipment (new or gently used)
• any new school supplies, including pencils, pens, spiral notebooks, notebook paper, markers, crayons, colored pencils, scissors, glue sticks, highlighters, rulers, Dry-Erase markers/crayons, construction paper, copy paper, or age-appropriate backpacks (5th and 6th grade)
• General classroom supplies like tissues, paper towels, and antibacterial wipes

In addition, our music teacher is looking for the specific equipment donations listed below for an African drumming program:

• 3-10″, 5-12″, and 3-14″ tunable tubanos
• 2 talking drums; 2 talking drum mallets
• 2-16″ pre-tuned hand drums
• 2 güiros
• 2 pairs of claves
• 2 shekeres
• 1 standing Ngoma leaders drum
